in order to honour both the uk and brasil, we have chosen to support a charity that aligns deeply with the essence and spirit of ginga: the caring family foundation.

we are committed to donating a portion of every sales item to their vital work supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse across both countries.

domestic abuse against women and girls remains widespread and urgent. in brasil, 8 women experience domestic violence every minute. in the uk, 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, with police receiving a domestic abuse related call every 30 seconds.

the caring family foundation works to ensure more women have access to safety, support, and information so they can make informed choices about their futures and the lives of their children. their work provides practical and emotional support, including medical care, psychological support, housing assistance, legal advice, and pathways to independence through employability programmes.

in brasil, the foundation supports bem querer mulher, funding care centres, counselling, legal guidance, and skills training programmes that empower survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity.

in the uk, their grants support a network of specialist domestic abuse organisations providing helplines, refuges, community support, and long term recovery services.

through this partnership, ginga supports organisations working directly on the ground to provide safety, stability, and empowerment.

our love for brasil is rooted in protecting the natural rhythms that inspire everything we create. we believe jewellery should enhance your beauty without compromising the earth.

traditional jewellery plating can be highly water intensive and chemically demanding. to ensure our footprint is as mindful as our designs, we partner exclusively with a leading brazilian manufacturer committed to strict environmental responsibility.

The Ginga Water Promise: Zero Toxic Waste

water is the lifeblood of brasil, and we take its protection seriously. the gold plating process can generate harmful industrial waste, so we choose a cleaner path.

our workshop operates a state of the art effluent treatment plant and advanced ion exchange system designed to fully treat and neutralise production water.

100 percent decontamination: every drop of water used in the polishing and plating process is carefully treated to remove heavy metals and impurities, which are safely managed by certified specialists.

closed loop recycling: the purified water is returned to the system for reuse within the facility, significantly reducing water consumption and limiting environmental impact.

no river discharge: this closed loop process ensures that no untreated wastewater is released into brasil's natural waterways.

Circular packaging and materials

we are committed to reducing waste beyond production. our packaging is made from 100 percent recycled materials and is also fully designed to be recycled after use, to minimise environmental impact while maintaining a considered unboxing experience.

we are actively working towards incorporating recycled metals into our jewellery wherever possible. as our supply chain develops, we aim to prioritise materials that reduce the demand for newly mined resources while maintaining the quality and longevity of each piece.

our 2030 promise

while our workshop already meets high environmental standards, we are committed to going further. over the next 3.5 years, we will continue working backwards through our supply chain to ensure every step of creating ginga is both environmentally responsible and ethical, from raw materials to final production.

in line with this commitment to longevity and reduced consumption, ginga offers a 3 year warranty on all pieces. this is our way of ensuring lasting quality, encouraging mindful ownership, and giving our customers confidence that each piece is made to be worn, loved, and kept over time.
